Wall of Fame Record Board

The Wall of Fame Records are located within the Jordan Falcon Football locker room in framed plaques for all of the Falcon Family to review. Only the top five can stay on the plaques, unless there is a tie for the fifth position. Work hard from day one and play together as a team and you might one day be on the Wall of Fame!

Congratulations to a number of Jordan Falcons that moved onto the Wall of Fame boards for their performances both throughout the 2006 season as well as over their years at Jordan. Sophomore running back Jerrell "JR" Rhodes moved into third place for both single season rushing and career rushing totals. Senior quarterback Eric Weaver followed in the footsteps of last year's trend setter Andrew Blaylock and took over the single season passing record while also moving into fourth place overall for career passing. Catching a number of the passes from Weaver was senior wide receiver Antonio Smith who moved into first place All-Time for a single season in receiving yards while moving to third place All-Time for career receiving yards. Both Weaver and Rhodes also moved onto the single season touchdowns list, with Weaver tying 2000 graduate Tremaine Hackney with the single season high mark. Much of the success of the skill players listed are due to the hard work in the trenches and it is no surprise that the offensive line saw the single season blocking percentage record tied by tight end Clark Richards, while two year starter Josh Dorfman moved into the second spot for single season blocking.

Senior Cary Harper moved into another slot on the single season tackles board and in so doing knocked Sam Hall from the single season board. Sam led many of the Jordan defenses of the late 90's and early 2000's and his dedication and desire to be a champion was one of many key elements in helping establish a foundation for how defense is played at Durham Jordan. Three of our graduating seniors will also have their names added to the All-Time career tackles list. Senior linebackers, Cary Harper, Matt Little and Brandon Roberts have all moved into the top five all-time for tackes with Cary moving into first overall. Just as with Sam Hall moving off of the senior season board two young men that will move off of the career board. One of those young men played alongside Sam and as many would elaborate on was and will be one of the most dominant football players to have ever stepped onto the field at Claude Currie Stadium. Brant "Nebraska" Daye played defensive line and fullback and simply dominated on the gridiron. He was an all-state selection as well as player of the year in our region and two time player of year in the PAC-6 while also being selected to participate in both the North Carolina/South Carolina Shrine Bowl and East/West Shrine Bowl. The other young man to be moving off of the career tackles board is Eric Bennett. A gritty hard-nosed young man he continued the excellence required to play the linebacker position at Durham Jordan. A multi-year starter on the varsity he brought everything to the table and for that his coaches and fellow players are forever grateful.
